ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES

Stay At The Travelodge and Go Green

Together with our guests, we can unlock the possibilities for a greener hotel and a healthier planet.

At the Travelodge Hotel Saskatoon we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and implementing sustainable hotel practices. Together with our guests, we can unlock the possibilities for a greener hotel and a healthier planet, that is why we are proud to participate in the Hotel Association of Canada's Green Key Program.

The Green Key program is a graduated rating system designed to recognize hotels, motels, and resorts that are committed to improving their environmental performance. Based on the results of a comprehensive environmental audit, hoteliers are awarded a Green Key rating and given guidance on how to "unlock"
opportunities to reduce environmental impacts.

From in-room recycling to less frequent linen changes for long-term stays, guest participation is an important part in the success of maintaining a Green Key recognized hotel. The Travelodge Hotel Saskatoon would like to thank all of our guests for assisting us in reducing our environmental impact and helping us achieve a 3 Green Key Rating.

We continually strive to improve our environmental performance and deliver on our responsibilities to our guests, our staff and our community. To this end we commit to the following:

  • Recycling bins available in all guest rooms
  • Change cards are available to allow guests to communicate their wish to reuse bed linen and towels
  • Recyclable paper cups or reusable mugs will be provided for in room coffee
  • We recycle all newspapers left in guest rooms and in lobby areas
  • Lighting in common areas and guest rooms will be replaced with energy efficient bulbs
  • We turn off lights, radios and televisions in unoccupied guest rooms
  • All leaking faucets and toilets will be repaired and maintained promptly
